We liked the idea of a stainless thermal carafe, but it fell short of our expectations. Preheating the carafe with hot water is necessary, and adjusting the brew strength results in the coffee not being as hot as we'd like it to be. Additionally, the spout dribbles coffee, making it necessary to place a paper towel underneath it. We ultimately sent it back and purchased a 12-cup glass carafe from Black & Decker, which works better for us.
This coffee maker is average at best, but the most frustrating issue is that the carafe drips and makes a mess when pouring a cup. Despite trying various methods to hold or release the handle, it always drips and causes a mess on the counter. Other reviewers have also mentioned this issue, and although I bought it anyway, I am now returning it.
The coffee pot leaks every time I pour a cup, causing a mess. I've tried both paper and reusable filters, but still end up with grounds in my coffee due to the drain feature not working properly. The coffee also overfills and drains into the carafe, making the cleaning process more difficult. While the coffee pot does keep the coffee hot for a long time, it's not worth the hassle and mess. Unfortunately, I will be returning it.
Although this coffee maker was user-friendly, it stopped working after six months of use because the heating element shorted out, despite regular cleaning and descaling.
I threw this coffee maker away after only a few months because it was cheaply made with flimsy plastic. I tried different filters and strength settings, but grounds still got into the thermos during brewing. Furthermore, the thermos didn't keep the coffee hot for long, which was disappointing. Overall, I would not recommend this coffee maker.
